Mansonville

Mansonville is the main village of the Canton de Potton (Potton Township), a municipality of about 2,000 residents in the MRC de Memphrémagog, at the foot of Mount Owl’s Head, in the Estrie region of the Eastern Townships. The village is about 2 hours from Montreal via Highway 10 and about 1 hour 10 minutes from Sherbrooke. It draws skiers, golfers and cottagers who want the mountain and Lake Memphremagog a few minutes away.

In the Green Mountains Nature Reserve (Réserve naturelle des Montagnes-Vertes), the Singer sector offers about 20 kilometres of trails, and the Missisquoi Nord River runs through the township.

The Mansonville round barn, built in 1911-1912, is the village’s heritage emblem, and the Frontière covered bridge, built in 1896, was classified as a heritage property in 2024. In summer, the Dimanches au parc bring Place Manson to life.
